BSD works with English village to create a community hub
Built in the early 20th century in remembrance of those who fought in WW1, the Aldenham War Memorial Hall in Letchmore Heath, Hertfordshire, England has long been a social hub of the village. BSD designed outdoor gathering spaces to extend the Hall’s functions outdoors. To accommodate multigenerational activities at varying scales, the team provided ideas for amenities and materials that engage the littles, and flexible, accessible furnishings and spaces for the older folks. The entire design was developed for community-build opportunities.
